How we hold what you share with us.
This page is maintained by GenThink Labs to describe, in plain language rather than legal prose, how information you share through The GenThink Intensive program site is handled. It is meant as a statement of practice and intent rather than as a contract, and it will be updated as our thinking and the site itself continue to evolve.
What we collect
We only see what you choose to type into the application or inquiry forms, typically your name, email, organization, role, and the written responses you provide to the questions we ask. We do not sell, rent or trade this information, and we try to ask for as little of it as we can while still being able to have a real conversation with you.
How we use it
The information you share is used to read and respond to your application or inquiry, to correspond with you about it, and, where relevant, to compose cohorts thoughtfully so that the room around you is genuinely varied. Every application is read by a person on the team rather than filtered by a system, which is part of why we ask for the kinds of reflective questions we do.
Cookies and analytics
The site currently uses only the minimum cookies required for it to function. If we later introduce analytics, we intend to keep them limited to understanding, in aggregate, which pages people visit and where the experience of the site could be clearer, rather than tracking who any individual visitor is.
